Andreea Neukirchner
I studied German and English as modern applied languages at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, where I also qualified for translators.
During my studies, I took a part-time position as foreign-language secretary at the Rectorate of the Lucian Blaga University, assisting to the Scientific Secretary and the President, I gave German classes at a private foreign-language school, and worked as a free-lance translator for Thyssen-Krupp and for German EU-Integration experts.
In 2000 I received a DAAD scholarship and attended the international course on legal terminology and German law at the University Bremen, followed by a scholarship of the Philipps University Marburg, where I attended the Cultural Studies Module in 2001.
In 2003 I was selected for the International Parliamentary Scholarship of the German Bundestag, where I did an internship in the parliamentary office of Birgit Homburger. I was also admitted to the Master program of the European Institute CIFE in Nice/France, where I graduated in Advanced European & International Studies.
Subsequently, I worked as a project assistant at Centre Français de Berlin, and after the maternal leave I attended an advanced training course and qualified for project management.
In 2010 I joined the research group of Michael Brecht at the BCCN, Humboldt University of Berlin, where I am still working as his secretary.
