Our Projects

Our group is active in the field of cellular and systems neuroscience with the following major areas:

- Active touch and object recognition

- Social and sexual touch

- Cortical organization

- Cellular basis of sensations and movement generation

- Hippocampal and parahippocampal activity liked to spatial navigation

In particular, our research group works on (1) the meaning of single neuron activity, (2) cellular mechanisms of complex somatosensory-mediated behaviors, (3) spatial representation, (4) social representations in forebrain.

Some of our current projects:

- Structure-function relationships in the hippocampal and parahippocampal areas

- Why are we ticklish?

Some of our former projects:

- Whole-cell recordings in freely moving animals

- Touch & Kill of XL Prey

- Reverse physiology in the motor system

- Reverse physiology in the sensory system
