Research

I am interested in the internal structure of vertebrate brains. Practically, I analyse the brain structure using micro-CT scan-based 3D reconstructions. Micro-Computed Tomography is a non-invasive 3D imaging technique using X-rays to make the internal structure of objects visible. It is similar to CT imaging performed in hospitals but on a smaller scale with a much higher resolution, as samples can be imaged with pixel sizes as small as 1 µm.
