Research

During my Ph.D at the University of Chile (https://neurosistemas.cl/), I studied the brain mechanisms of active behaviour, with special focus on multisite LFP and single unit recordings on rat visual (V1), somatosensory (S1) and secondary motor (M2, rostral and caudal portions) cortex. We found that active behaviour improved visual discrimination behaviourally, induced strong modulations over visual cortices and long-range synchronization between motor and sensory areas.

I now joined to the Brecht lab, to study brain mechanisms of social behaviour and play. We studied neural correlates of Hide & Seek, and examined mirror like activity in prefrontal cortex.
